Description of Service

Roomana is a roommate matching platform designed specifically for Arizona State University (ASU) students. Our service helps students find compatible roommates based on lifestyle preferences, study habits, and living requirements.

Eligibility

• You must be a current or incoming ASU student
• You must have a valid ASU email address (@asu.edu)
• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must provide accurate and complete information

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must register with your ASU email address
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You must provide accurate and up-to-date information
• One account per person is allowed

📌 We use email verification to confirm your ASU student status. You agree to receive verification codes and related communications to your ASU email address.

Account Responsibilities

• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Do not share your account credentials with others

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post false, misleading, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Use automated systems to access the platform
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Content and Reviews

User-Generated Content

• You retain ownership of content you submit
• You grant us license to use and display your content
• Content must be accurate and truthful
• We reserve the right to remove inappropriate content

Housing Reviews

• Reviews must be based on personal experience
• Do not post reviews for properties you haven't lived in
• Be honest and constructive in your feedback
• Do not include personal information of others

Matching Algorithm

Service Disclaimers

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of user information
• We are not responsible for roommate arrangements or disputes

Limitation of Liability

Roomana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the platform.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Roomana and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may also terminate your account at any time.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
